The quality of hair and the degree of baldness in patients is always individual. However, the average statistical indicators of hair growth after transplantation for 3 months (after shock loss) are 3 months - 10%, 6 months - 50% grow, 12 months - 98%, 18 months - 100% (the crown area always takes longer).

During this period of time, the transplanted follicles engraft and the hair begins to grow. The resulting crust can be carefully removed 10-12 days after transplantation. At the site where this growth was removed, an area with slight redness of the skin remains; this residual phenomenon goes away on its own within a month and does not require special care procedures.

Hair transplantation has relative and absolute contraindications. The latter include the following diseases and conditions:

• disorders of blood clotting (hemophilia, etc.);
• diabetes mellitus type 1 and 2;
• skin pathologies with complications (psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, seborrhea, etc.);
• mental disorders;
• age restrictions - hair transplantation is not performed for patients under 15 and over 60 years of age. This surgical operation is performed at any time of the year. After a hair transplant, the patient needs a week's rest to restore his physical condition. This fact must be taken into account when planning a visit to the clinic.

Doctors recommend limiting physical activity for 2 weeks after hair transplantation; light exercise and walking are allowed. For 21 days from the date of transplantation, you should avoid any activities accompanied by heavy sweating. Ban on visiting baths and saunas - 1 month. After this period has expired, the patient can cut and shave his head without the risk of damaging the hair follicles. Transplanted hair can only be cut with scissors during the first year.

Hair transplantation in world practice is carried out using one of the two most common methods - FUE or DHI. The final choice is made by the attending physician, taking into account such initial factors as:

1) intensity of hair loss;
2) area of the thinning zone;
3) the number of available donor grafts.

The FUE method is optimal for hair transplantation over large areas of coverage, and the DHI method has proven itself better in operations aimed at increasing the density of hair follicles in small areas. If there are large bald patches, FUE surgery will solve all problems - the transplantation technique is designed to collect a larger number of grafts during one session.

Before undergoing a hair transplant using the FUE method, patients completely shave their entire head; the DHI method involves only shaving the hair from the donor area, this fact is of decisive importance for the fairer sex.
